Do I need an overflight permit for India?
One working day for flights for non-traffic purposes, i.e. overflight (s)/ technical halts except as stated in 3.2.1.4 3.2.1.4 Three working day for flights for non-traffic purposes, i.e. overflight (s)/ technical halts originating from PRC countries.

Who issues flight permits in India?
Permits are issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, the authority recorded in our coverage for India.
What is the lead time for a India permit?
Three working days for flights for traffic purposes; except as stated in 3.2.1.2. 3.2.1.2 Seven working days for flights originating from PRC countries. 3.2.1.3 One working day for flights for non-traffic purposes, i.e. overflight (s)/ technical halts except as stated in 3.2.1.4 3.2.1.4 Three working day for flights for non-traffic purposes, i.e. overflight (s)/ technical halts originating from PRC countries.

How long is a India permit valid?
A flight clearance shall be valid for a period of 48 hours. If a flight gets delayed beyond 48 hours, it will require fresh clearance form the DGCA.
